Artists Vision the Cyber-Techno Future and Its Impact on Black Culture

Afrofuturism is an exhibit that challenges a group of 28 accomplished artists to consider the distant future of black people. The term “Afrofuturism” refers to the study of the impact of technology on the physical, social and spiritual lives of black people. The concept of time is fundamental to the understanding of Afrofuturism. At its core is the interplay between time, available technology, race and culture. In Afrofuturism, the future meets the past in the state of the present
