« apologies | Main | LC's 'Secretary' Part »
December 06, 2005
After some discussion and an offer by RM to be the "Gatekeeper/Border Patrol," here are the 4 personas MZ and LC suggest we use in the MLA presentation: 1. Gatekeeper/Border Patrol: focusing especially on issues of VG in the classroom and editing pages for publication: Rachel 2. Receptionist/Secretary: including discussion of identity categorizing, or "organizing," in database managing: Lauren 3. Gardener/Grafter: on Latour's theory of inscriptions and the problem of the literary canon: Masha 4. Cyborg from the view of a writer (open for CEJ to change as desired): Carla? We propose we each write one page single spaced on or from the pov of our persona. We'll take turns reading our parts-- that will serve to put our parts in conversation with one another, rather than have a scripted dialogue. To dramatize the presentation, we'll each add an interjection during each reading. Let's each write our part and post it to the blog before next Wednesday, Dec. 14 (when Paula needs our paper). Let's also each post a response to each other's postings. We'll then work to incorporate the responses into the presentation and rehearse.

Agreed. Could someone remind me how long we have in total for our presentation?

We have 15 minutes. If each of us gets 3.5, I think that means about 3/4 page single-spaced.
