David Perron is a senior at the University of Minnesota, studying Sociology. His contribution on Wendy Rose was written in the Fall of 1997 for an American Indian Literature course offered through the American Indian Studies program. The course was taken as an elective, and out of a interest in Native culture and the simple joy of reading.
