Dena Gilby holds Bachelor's Degrees in English and Classical Humanities from St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri; Master's and Ph.D. degrees in Art History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with and emphasis on issues of class, gender and race in the ancient Mediterranean. She is an Assistant Professor of Art History at Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts. She has contributed the pages on Theresa Hak Kyung Cha and Mary Church Terrell.
