Robin M. Dasher-Alston graduated from Simmons College. She also earned a master's degree in political science from Villanova University and a Ph.D. in education, with a concentration in higher education, from the University of Pennsylvania. Robin's current research and writing interests are nineteenth-century women writers and women in higher education. She has contributed pages on Pauline Elizabeth Hopkins and Elizabeth Hobbs Keckley.
