How to Contribute Essays or Reviews

VG encourages community dialogue. To that end we host a myriad of essays and reviews. We encourage submissions of 750-2500 words. Visit the Essays & Reviews section to see examples of work that we have published.

Essays

VG is interested in analyses of particular works by authors or artists, and essays that explore theoretical, pedagogical, or historical aspects of some of the following topics:

• 'Minority' Identity
• Representation
• Authorship
• The role of technology in literary education
• Audience reception
• Textuality and visual culture, sound images, and digitality
• 'Literary performance' and other expressions such as performance art or oral narrative

Reviews

VG might welcomes reviews of individual books, films, exhibitions, performances, etc.

All submissions are subject to VG Editorial Board review.
