Mission

VG: Diversifying Knowledge Creatively and Collaboratively

VG/Voices from the Gaps, a website based in the English Department at the University of Minnesota, is dedicated to bringing together marginalized resources and knowledges about women artists of color to serve secondary and college education across the world.

VG fosters intercommunity collaboration, linking the voices of scholars, educators, students, and women artists of color by

  1. publishing student-generated biographies, reviews, and critical essays,
  2. providing pedagogical support and materials to secondary and post-secondary curriculums,
  3. conducting and posting interviews of women artists of color
  4. documenting performances and readings by women artists of color
